Jan Muller

Jan Muller is the Owner and Managing Director of JM Consultancy which specializes in Project Management, Interim Management, Recovery Management and Business Development in the Middle East.

Jan’s acumen in manpower consultancy has sharpened over decades of owning companies and occupying top executive posts in various organizations he had helped succeed. He started out in Holland, establishing medium sized companies involved with design, construction, and organization of international trade exhibitions. In 1985, he moved to Oman as Managing Director for Interexcon.

Upon return to Holland in 1989, Jan became the owner and senior consultant in Boyman’s and Muller Management Consultants B.V. Then from 2004 to 2014, Jan was Managing Director for Hypsos Middle East, a high end, international design and fit out organization executing projects for museums, hospitality, retail, exhibitions, and events.

In 2014, Jan established his own Dubai company, JM Consultancy, FZ LLE which primarily, assists Zwarts en Jansma, an Amsterdam based architectural firm, with their business development in the Middle East. They also advise and assist Middle East companies on business strategies and execution of various high-end projects.

Zu Gatward

Zu Gatward is a highly prolific event management professional with 17 years of strong industry experience covering South East Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Zu manages events of all sizes from corporate conferences and exhibitions, industry training programmes to sporting events, gala dinners and celebrations. She has worked on prominent events in the UAE such as HR Summit, Cityscape, DIPMF, Arab Health and many more.

Prior to her appointment as Head of Event Management for Conference and Training for Informa Middle East (formerly known as IIR) where she served for 6 successful years, Zu was an Events Manager for 4 years at Institute for International Research (IIR). Zu and her team planned and executed logistics for over 65 conferences and 485 training seminars annually.

Focused, driven and with critical eye for details, Zu has established an extensive network of trusted professionals and suppliers which enables her to organise the most suitable team for each event.

Shekhar Rao

Shekhar Rao is the Founder and CEO of MAC Advertising and a co-founder of Foodonclick.com.

Ever, the adventurous marketer and savvy strategist, Shekhar has led a host of clients in breaking new grounds and attaining category leadership with award-winning advertising and public relations stunts. In 2007, he pushed Mac Advertising into global prominence by securing for his client entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s tallest ice sculpture.

Among his memorable accolades include the successful Dubai launches of Indian School of Business, and Apparel Group Dollar Plus. Another unforgettable was the high-impact typographical campaign for Welcare Heart Care centre. One of his most recent successes was foodonlick.com and a founder member, the region’s largest food online order portal which he spearheaded and launched to success in Dubai.

With over 25 years of rich experience in creative strategy, development and execution for clients across India, UAE, and UK, Shekhar brings strong leadership and expertise in the areas of corporate communications, product marketing, and publicity.

Hassan Mosafer

Hassan is a highly reputed exhibitions guru whose credentials in Middle East Exhibition could only be the aspiration for many.

Armed with exemplary people skills he further developed in his early years in hospitality with the ACCOR Hotels in Qatar and Oman, Hassan adeptly turns the stressful events environment into a delightful experience for his staff. Beyond this, it’s his incredible industry achievements that make him the credible boss to follow.

Hassan was Operations Manager for Oman International Exhibition Centre before joining the Dubai World Trade Centre to handle Airport Expo Dubai as Exhibition Venue Manager. In 2003, he added the Dubai World Trade Centre venue to his direct responsibility looking after leasing, planning and operations.

In 2008, he was promoted to Venues Commercial Director and three years later took the post of Exhibitions Director for the Dubai World Trade Centre, a position he held until 2016.
